With his fancy name and homespun demeanor, Leonardo is a Midwest based troubadour traveling throughout the US and UK presenting a fun, family friendly performance of story and song. Circuses, trains, sailors, and banjos all find a home in songs inspired by his adventures in the nooks and crannies of this world.
A solo performer for almost 10 years, he entertains with a contagious kinetic stage presence, a soulful tenor voice, and a fluid guitar style. From Chicago to Cambridge, in a Teepee in Wisconsin to a pub in the English countryside, audiences of all ages have laughed and sung along with him. He has released three CD's of original material and his music has been featured on two documentary films and a short feature.
"...Recalls the beatific buoyancy of Arlo Guthrie or Harry Chapin" wrote Drew Wheeler from CDNOW. While The Worcester Phoenix said he writes "...songs with familiar reference points...things that if you never did them, you wished you had."
He has been an opening act for notable songwriters such as James Keelaghan, Ellis Paul, Steve Gillette, Lynn Miles, and Greg Greenway. Venues he has performed at include Caffe Lena (Saratoga Springs, NY), The Point (Philadelphia, PA) The Two Way Street Coffeehouse (Chicago, IL), Fox Valley Folk Festival, Lake County Folk Festival, The Cherry Tree (Philadelphia, PA) and the South Florida Folk Festival.
