Blue Shadows is a powerful blues trio that prides itself on its straight forward, cutting edge, Raw Blues. Blue Shadows is derived from the title of a Freddie King song. The Madison, WI area group consists of: Matt Kollock, Jason Karnitz and Chad Wirl, who have been playing together off and on, since high school. Like so many bands before, Blue Shadows likes the idea of a three piece band, a simple setup, but a very powerful sound. Blue Shadows provides a wide variety of Blues styles from Chicago to the Delta. Their song list includes songs from some of the most influential blues artists to date. Blue Shadows also enjoys playing their own powerful originals. Matt, Jason and Chad are like shadows, just waiting to get out there and share their rich, blues sound. Blue Shadows is a band full of energy and dedication, which comes through in their music.

With their music Blue Shadows hopes to show their utmost respect and admiration for those musicians that have inspired so many. Blue Shadows is definitely a class act that pours every ounce of energy and soul into the sound they call "Raw Blues."
