With an exceptional talent of telling a story through his own words fastened with an incredible skill in playing the guitar, Ed Jurdi has pleased, moved, and gathered fans for a number of years. This is not so surprising when one realizes that Mr. Jurdi has been playing guitar since the age of two, and began writing at age fifteen. 1999 saw the release of his debut album Ed Jurdi, which ha calls "a soundtrack for the millennium". At 24 he has displayed a capacity for American music that is unparalleled.

    Mr. Jurdi's playing expertise on the music scene is quite extensive. He has performed with such well known artists as: Willie Nelson, Richie Havens, Queen Latifah, NRBQ, Dave Matt, Percy Hill, Seth Yacovone Blues Band, and Acoustic Junction. He is fast becoming a major played in the power packed northeast media markets. He has captivated audiences at The Elbow Room and The Living Room in New York City. In the Boston area he has performed at the Middle East, Club Passim, The Kendall Caf�, and Bill's Bar. In the seacost area of New Hampshire, he's played at The Portsmouth Music Hall, First Unitarian Church, The Press Room, and The Dolphin Striker in Portsmouth; The Tin Palace in Durham (home to the University of New Hampshire); and has developed a residency status at the venerable Stone Church Music Club in Newmarket. Ed's fan base even travels north with a following in Burlington, VT (UVM), Plymouth, NH (Bull and Bier Haus), and Portland, ME (The Basement, Gritty McDuff's). In addition, he has garnered extensive radio play on 100.3 WHEB in Portsmouth, NH, 91.3 WUNH in Durham, HN, and 91.9 WUMB in Boston.

    Ed's debut CD release pays homage to influances that range from Otis Redding to Bob Dylan; from Muddy Waters to Miles Davis. Jurdi puts it best by stating that his favorite music is Folk, R&B, Blues, Country, Bluegrass, Rock and Roll, and Jazz. From this wellspring of American music, Ed has carved out a musical niche and garnered extensive critical acclaim. Portfolio Magazine calls the album "an honest, generous selection of songs vested in the spirit of traditional American Music".
